W.E. Bookstore Online Internships
W.E. Bookstore Online offers remote and partially in person internships for those interested in the creative community. We are able to correspond with professors, meet hourly quotas, and report as needed! Our internships include Event Planning, Marketing, Acquisition, and hybrid internships!
We are still accepting Summer internship applications. Deadline June 23, 2021.
We are accepting Fall applications now as well. Deadline Sept. 26, 2021.
We welcome students, graduates, and those looking to break into the book-selling industry.
The majority of this is a remote position, applicants must have reliable access to a computer and the internet.
Applicants should be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and able to meet tight deadlines.

Description
W.E. Bookstore Online produces events online and offline as our commitment in action to creating opportunities for creators, makers, authors, artists, and small business owners to amplify their voices, improve their skills and sell their products.
The Event Production Interns will work directly with the Executive Director. They will assist in producing our events that happen year-round. Interns will be trained in event sales support & planning support and in the execution of events. Interns will see the A-Z process of event planning and become knowledgeable about many venues W.E. Bookstore Online use.

- Cold Calling to Schedule Prospect Meetings
- Send Thank you/Nice Meeting You Cards
- Assist in Preparation of Planning Meetings
- Create Proposals for Future Events
- New Vendor Research
- New Vendor Qualification
- Miscellaneous Research
- Available to help run events (online and offline relative to your location).
Requirements
To succeed in this position, you should have:
- High School Diploma with some course work in college
- Interest in Event Planning
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Must have Driver Licenses and Vehicle for Transportation (*locals only)
- Must be Detail Oriented
- Alined with W.E.B.O.’s Mission
- Must be able to Multi-Task
- Must have a Good Work Ethic
- Must be Willing to Engage, Learn, and Have Fun
- Should be able to work independently as well as a team
- Reliable access to a computer and the internet

- performing market and media research
- assisting the growth of the W.E. Bookstore Online social media presence
- assisting staff at events
- managing web content; assisting the sales and marketing team in creating social media content and campaigns
- writing and distributing press releases

- Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
- Experience with content management systems such as WordPress is a plus.
