About Jamila
Jamila is an inspirational speaker and author of 2 women devotionals and co-authors of 2 anthology books. She has obtained a CDA in Preschool and worked with children for over 12 years.
She has a passion for helping women through their journey to becoming a Proverbs 31 Woman. She resides in Dallas, Tx with her husband and three beautiful children. She enjoys writing, spending time with her family, crafts, shopping, and last but not least spending time reading God’s Word.

Winn Publications: How did your journey as an author begin?
My journey began on January 1, 2019 when I was doing a bible study on Proverbs 31 and the Lord told me to publish my Proverbs 31 bible study

I always wanted to pursue making a movie

The Lord motivated me to write

Yes, my books are published on Amazon.

The publishing process for my devotionals was a smooth process

Yes, I am self-publishing
Winn Publications: Since becoming a published author, what challenges have you faced if any?
My biggest challenge is being consistent while I am promoting my books
Winn Publications: Have you written anything outside of fiction/nonfiction?
Yes, I write devotionals
Winn Publications: Do you have a tip that you can offer your peers (poets and writers worldwide)?
The tip I can only give is write, write, write
Winn Publications: Are you currently working on any new projects? If so when can we expect them to be released?
I am expecting my new release by June 1, 2020

If the Lord tarry, I see myself doing workshops, tours and movies

Someone who writes something for others who doesn’t lose heart

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength-Bible
If you could co-author with anyone – dead or alive- who would it be and why?
Tanya Defreitas- her anthology projects allows me to see how far I have overcome my obstacles in life
