Interview With Winn Publications
Winn Publications: How did your journey as an author begin?
My journey as an author began with a desire to give hope to the brokenhearted.
Winn Publications: Was it something you always wanted to pursue?
Writing has always been a source of escape and refuge for me.
Winn Publications: Who or what motivated you to write?
I had a story in me and I knew others could and would be blessed by it. I just needed time and space to get it done. I had an opportunity to go visit my son in Germany and a dear friend said to me don’t come back without your book. That motivated me to get my first book done.
Winn Publications: Have you published your writings into a book? If so, where can we find it/them?
I have published 2 books and both can be purchased on Amazon.com.
Winn Publications: How was the publishing process?
The publishing process for book #1 was very challenging. I was like a fish out of the water. I hired a company to publish my book thinking all I had to do was write it and they would do everything else. That didn’t happen. I basically had to do everything myself. It was very frustrating. The 2nd book was a much smoother process.
Winn Publications: Are you self-published?
I am self-published.
Winn Publications: Since becoming a published author, what challenges have you faced if any?
My main challenge since becoming a published Author is remaining revenant and getting my book sales up.
Winn Publications: Have you written anything outside of fiction/nonfiction?
I have only written fiction as of now.
Winn Publications: Do you have a tip that you can offer your peers (poets and writers worldwide)?
My one tip to my peers would be, stay true to your writing. You don’t want to be like everyone else. Your uniqueness is your value.
Winn Publications: Are you currently working on any new projects? If so when can we expect them to be released?
I am currently working on a project titled: A Mother’s LoveI hope to be done with it by the end of summer.
Winn Publications: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years I would like to be a world-renowned Author and motivational speaker, traveling the world and promoting my books and helping others by encouraging them to write their stories.
Winn Publications: What does being an author mean to you?
Being an Author to me means I have truly built a Legacy that will surely out live me because a book never dies.
Winn Publications: What’s your favorite quote and who’s it by?
“One of my favorite quotes is, Women are giving the gift of influence if they learn to unwrap it.” – Author Daphne D. Hampton
Winn Publications: If you could co-author with anyone – dead or alive- who would it be and why?
If I could Co-Author with anyone it would be Michelle Obama. Why? I admire her. She is well educated, well-traveled, influential, and humble. I know the book would be well written and captivating. Also, she can fill a stadium and sell books.
